Wines of Sutton Grange

"This is a masterful statement of bright, complex vineyard-driven character and insightful winemaking." Nick Stock, The Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide 2009

"Today the Fairbank wines represent some of the most exceptional value for money wine in Australian wine." Jeremy Oliver, The Australian Wine Annual 2010

All of our wines reflect a unique 'terroir' and tend to be more savoury than sweet, relying on texture and finesse rather than explosive fruit characters.

In winemaking, simplicity is the rule, no external micro-organisms, no technological correction, this ensures we obtain natural vinification.

The first release of wines from Sutton Grange was christened Fairbank, the original name of the Sutton Grange property from the late 1800's.

The wines are quite European in style, reflecting the pedigree of winemaker Gilles Lapalus.

The Sutton Grange Estate label is reserved for our premium wines selected in the vineyard and cellar - they are limited releases.
